PRINCIPAL ASSESSMENT

Validated Assessment of Skills for Principals Leading to the Development of a Professional Growth Plan Based upon Assessed Strengths and Growth Areas.

Skills Assessment of Principals (SKAP) optional

  • SKAP: (Recommended Administrative Experience: 1 to 3 years, Session time: 8:30am – 4:30 pm). The Skills Assessment of Principals (SKAP) is designed to assess the skills of the administrator who has 1-3 years experience as a principal or is an assistant principal.  The SKAP is a one-day interactive simulation in which participants will engage in four (4) activities that simulate the responsibilities of an administrator: Complete a self-analysis, respond to several job-alike scenarios, develop a case study, and discuss the case study in a cluster/group exchange. Each activity is followed by a reflective piece. A detailed results follow-up report identifies overall performance on each dimension and lists resources that can be accessed for personal professional developmental planning.
