PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND APPRAISAL SYSTEM (PDAS)

(Teacher Manual)

(Forms)

Training in the professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) is a requirement for individual administrators and appraisers using the Commissioner's recommended appraisal system. The 21-hour, two and one-half day program will be conducted at centralized regional sites. Participants with the authorization of the employing superintendent will be given priority in the training. Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) is viewed as a prerequisite for successful participation in PDAS training and is essential prior to PDAS appraiser certification.

Sessions will be scheduled during the fall, winter, and summer, as needed, to meet the training needs of districts or charter schools in Region 10. Sessions are currently scheduled for:

A state financed and developed software template for scoring this process is available on the Region 3 ESC website. It is very user friendly and easy to download annually.

Fees for this service are communicated annually to the district superintendent and charter school as part of the commitment process for the Package of Administrative Services for Region 10 Districts.  For those who are not a current administrator with a Region 10 District the cost of PDAS is $275 payable by cash or check and due on the first day of each session.  Also for those who are not a current administrator with a Region 10 district, please be aware that there is now a $75 certificate fee payable to Region XIII for your PDAS certificate.
