This monthly e-newsletter will provide legislative updates, innovative ideas for counselors as well as the latest information for safe schools.
Safe School Survey
Participating districts may use this online service to survey their students, staff and parents on issues related to the promotion and maintenance of a safe school environment. Topics in the survey include student reports of violence, illegal use of alcohol and drugs, theft and their feelings about the relative safety of their school. In addition to the basic question series districts may also customize some questions based on their specific needs. Unlike years past the survey may be opened for lengthy periods of time to accommodate scheduling and computer access. District and campus reports are made available to school districts at an administrative meeting with the Safe School Survey monitor at Region 10 following completion of the instrument.
