Trainings 2008/2009
The following is a list of workshops that a campus and/or a district may request for training at their site by contacting Evelyn Thorpe or Karen Najera, as well as a list of workshops that will be offered at Region 10 throughout the 2008-2009 school year.
Checklists and Rubrics
Workshop will focus on developing rubrics and checklists for differentiated instruction and assessment.
Assessment Strategies
Higher level question stems, rubrics, use of graphic organizers, and data analysis are just a few of the 8 assessment strategies that will be presented in this workshop. Teachers who attend will be able to breathe new life into their old assessments and create new and more rigorous assessments. (3 hour offering)
Facilitated Benchmarking
These sessions are designed to help facilitate district staff in the creation of district benchmark test for all TAKS tested grades. Participants must bring a copy of their district scope and sequence.
Writing Assessment Items using the WebCCAT Authoring Tool:
Curriculum Users will learn how to use the item authoring tool in WebCCAT in order to enter their own district questions.
WebCCAT Silver Training for Educators:
Teachers and staff will learn how to use the product WebCCAT to develop their own benchmark assessments.
WebCCAT Gold Training for Educators:
Teachers and staff will learn how to use the product WebCCAT Gold to develop their own online test for students to take online.
WebCCAT Curriculum Users Training:
Curriculum Users will learn how to use the product WebCCAT to develop district benchmark test.
Curriculum Alignment using iCAT
Use the Region 10 Curriculum Alignment Tool (requires purchase by the district) to facilitate local curriculum development and aligment.
Informing Instruction of the English Language Proficiency Standards using iCAT
Use the Region 10 ICAT tool ( available for purchase by a campus or dsitrict) to explore the ELPS as they apply to the Student Expectations in math and science.

Region 10 provides comprehensive training for districts who purchase Cscope as their district curriculum. Trainings included:
