CSCOPE Trainings

 

Making of Sense of CSCOPE Assessments  NEW
Participants will explore the different components of Unit Assessments, including the Appendices, Performance Indicators and rubrics to gain a better understanding of the importance and significance of each.

 

CSCOPE and STAAR Implementation  NEW
This training will help you understand how CSCOPE can help your district prepare for STAAR. Participants will learn how CSCOPE documents are aligned to STAAR and how they should be used by teachers to maximize effectiveness in preparation for the new assessments.

 

Instructional Rounds and Curriculum Monitoring  NEW
Learn the effective use of the Principal's Tools to monitor CSCOPE curriculum on your campuses. This training is designed to help principals and administrators learn how to organize and implement instructional rounds with a focus on improving instruction in the classroom.

 

Using Assessments to inform instruction ( 2 part training)  NEW
Part I: Session participants will study the CSCOPE Instructional Focus Document while evaluating TAKS data. Participants will gain insight on how to improve instruction and tighten the relationship between instruction and the CSCOPE curriculum. Participants will need item analysis, objective/TEKS/SE summary reports.
Part II: Explore the use of formative assessments to inform teacher planning and instruction, to guide student learning and to target interventions. We will be looking at various types of formative assessments that are meaningful and lead to more focused teaching and learning with your CSCOPE curriculum.

 

Purposeful Planning  NEW
Teachers will gain a better understanding of the Instructional Improvement Process through hands-on lesson planning using CSCOPE documents. This training can be done as a TOT for lead teachers and department heads.

 

K-2 CSCOPE Integration  NEW
Participants will explore integrating all content areas within the CSCOPE framework. Suggested resources to use to help integrate Science and Social Studies into English Language Arts will also be given.

 

K-1 Inventories with Appendices  NEW
Hands on training using your CSCOPE K-2 appendices to create scoreable questions for inventories. Deconstructing the appendices to write inventory questions will also be addressed.

 

CSCOPE Foundations: An Implementation Process
Participants are introduced to the four main CSCOPE training modules: TEK study, VAD, YAGs and IFDs. The training session is designed for teachers who are entering a CSCOPE district as well as teachers from districts that are new to CSCOPE. Training will focus on the theoretical underpinnings of the curriculum and the use of CSCOPE documents.

 

Follow Me I Know Where I'm Going: CSCOPE Foundations for Administrators
This training emphasizes the key role administrators play in monitoring CSCOPE implementation using the Instruction Improvement Process and the Principal's Walkthrough Tool.

 

CSCOPE User Training
This session will provide participants with training on how to navigate the CSCOPE online system

 

CSCOPE Overview
This session provides an introduction to the key components of the CSCOPE Curriculum.

 

5 E in 5E
Become familiar with the components of the 5E Instructional Model from the view of an administrator, teacher and student.

 

Customizing CSCOPE Assessments
What makes a mini-assessment, benchmark test, or checkpoint worth the time used to create, administer, score and analyze? Assessments must be aligned to the scope and sequence or Instructional Focus Document to maximize student success. Learn what elements make up a valid mini-assessment and how to build the assessment using WebCCAT. (Bring S&S or IFD from one content area/grade level)

 

K-2 Integration and Differentiation Strategies  NEW
Participants will be given a "Bag of Strategies" that show how to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students through "responsive" teaching rather than "one-size-fits-all" teaching.

 

From Mission Impossible to Mission Possible
This session is for Curriculum Directors, Administrators, Department Heads or Lead Teachers who are responsible for building capacity and ownership in their district for the CSCOPE Curriculum. The session will be an in-depth study of the Vertical Alignment Documents. Participants will examine the level of rigor, specificity, how to use the documents with teachers in their districts to guide instruction and make decisions on district resources.

 

The IFD is your BFF
The Instructional Focus Document is your very best friend! The IFD anchors instruction and helps to focus teacher planning time. This session will focus on the components of the IFD and the value of each in planning instruction.

 

Using Performance Indicators to Boost Student Achievement
This session is designed for administrators and curriculum leaders interested in the implementation of the newly revised Science Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for 2010/2011. The session will provide critical information regarding the effective implementation of the TEKS within the CSCOPE classroom, including the principal's role as instructional leader for science instruction. Participants will examine revised Vertical Alignment Documents and Instructional Focus Documents and learn how to support teachers in implementation.

 

CSCOPE Services- District Request

 

CSCOPE Implementation Audit  NEW
With the CSCOPE Implementation Audit Region 10 staff will work with your staff to determine how effectively your teachers are using the CSCOPE curriculum documents to improve instruction. We will study your implementation practices and make recommendations to improve instructional practices in your district.

 

Aware Training

 

Using Assessments to inform instruction  NEW
Part I: All those numbers! What in the world should I do with the results of my students' assessments in order to maximize instructional time and make greater gains in learning and performance? Learn what using the data correctly can do to help focus your instruction.
Part II: Explore the use of formative assessments to inform teacher planning and instruction, to guide student learning and to target interventions. Looking at various types of formative assessments participants will see how they can use Aware to lead to more focused teaching and learning.

 

Aware of STAAR?  NEW
Use eduphoria! AWARE to help prepare for STAAR. This training will highlight the features and functions of AWARE and data management that emphasize the STAAR assessments. Participants will use their data to create views and reports to help gage where students are and where they need to be for the new assessments.

 

Are you aware of your RTI?  NEW
Using your 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 data you can begin to get a longitudinal view of your students. Build views for your Tier I, II, III students within the RtI framework. Develop forms to collect the RTI student data.

 

What's New in Aware?  NEW
This webinar will allow attendees to see a demo of the new features and updates in Aware. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the discussion.

 

Premium Suite Overview  NEW
The Eduphoria! SchoolObjects Suite is comprised of seven web applications to simplify various phases of school management. This session will provide a brief overview of each of the products in the suite and how they all work together.

Eduphoria! Formspace is a tool to automate district forms and approval processes, saving your district thousands of sheets of paper and reducing email clutter. In this session, districts will learn how to setup and use the software.

 

How to use Workshop?  NEW
Eduphoria! Workshop is a professional development management system that streamlines staff course registration and portfolios. In this session, districts will learn how to setup and use the software.

 

Developing Inventories
Using the aware data tool district administrators will learn how to create and set up a student inventory framework, create an assessment, assign to students and administer the assessment.

 

Aware Administrator Training
These sessions provide administrators with the skills to navigate the aware system, view teacher and student data, create customized views, access student portfolios, give local assessments and scanning. While you are learning about the system, you will be able to view and work with your own district or campus data.

 

Aware Teacher Training
These sessions provide teachers with the skills to navigate the Aware system. Districts may request two hour sessions focusing on data analysis and views, the assessment generator and scanning.

 

Aware Forms
Participants will learn to create, edit and assign a custom form to students. Also, learn how to use journals and the forms community.

 

Benchmarking in Aware
During this 3 hour session educators will learn to navigate the system, build assessments, scan assessments and retrieve student data from Aware

Aware User Group Meetings  NEW
Join us to learn about the latest products, features, and upgrades of eduphoria! AWARE and other eduphoria! products. We will also use these meetings to gather feedback from participating districts about issues they are having and new features and upgrades they would like to see.

 

Custom Aware Forms and Reports development  NEW
Region 10 will assist districts in creating custom report views and forms for users with Eduphoria Aware. We will help with the design, development and implementation of requested custom reports and forms.

 

PGP (Personal Graduation Plan)  NEW
Assist districts in setting up their CAP, importing transcript data and filling out PGPs.

WebCCAT has been given a whole new look! During this 2hr session participants will learn the features of WebCCAT, navigate the system and build assessments.
