The EdNet10 Network Consortium provides telecommunication services and distance learning services to public school districts in North Texas.
NETWORK SERVICES
The EdNet10 Network Consortium provides numerous network services including Internet access and videoconferencing to public school districts. Due to legislative changes in school funding in 2006, the Regional Consortium for Innovation Board voted December 13, 2006 for a five-year phase out of subsidy funding. Starting with the 2010-2011 school year, the annual fee is 20% of the actual cost of services provided and will increase 20% each year until the annual fee is 100% of the cost of services in 2014.
Districts may choose to continue EdNet10 Network services by choosing either data network services (including Internet service) or videoconference network services or both network services.
Should you have a question about the fees for your district please contact Gary Bowers at 972-348-1336 or by email at gary.bowers@region10.org.
The Data Network has been in operation since January 1998.
The Data Network offers these services for an annual fee.
