Website Help and Information

Districts

If you are a Webmaster or Technical Coordinator responible for creating and maintaining your school district's website, visit this area! Here you will find information on new web services being offered by Region 10 for your district along with helpful information on using these features.

Microsoft FrontPage Extensions

You may now use Microsoft FrontPage to create and publish your website!  This new feature will allow you to take full advantage of FrontPage's website creation capability.  MS FrontPage allows you to easily create forms, discussion boards, dynamic html, hit counters, and much more.  Click here for our FrontPage F.A.Q. document!

New Easy to Follow Web Addresses (yourdistrict.ednet10.net)

District websites hosted by Region 10 typically had an address that looked something like "www.ednet10.net/districtname".  With the new system, district websites will have a web address that reads "districtname.ednet10.net".  We will update all the links from the Region 10 website with these new addresses.  We will also be creating html "re-direct" pages that will automatically take a user who types the old website address to the new one.  This way, all bookmarks and literature can remain current!  Districts that use their own domain name, such as www.districtisd.org, will remain unchanged.  Click here to access our General Web Hosting F.A.Q. document.

Active Server Pages / CGI Script Capability

Our web server now provides advanced users the option of implementing ASP and Perl scripts with their websites.  Click here for details.
