“New Tools, New Skills, New Worlds”

Session handouts are available under session titles below.

Keynote Speaker: Jane Nauman, Nauman Educational Consulting

"The Right Tool for the Job"
Jane's keynote information and linked resources are available online at:
http://web.me.com/jane_nauman/Site/The_Right_Tool_for_the_Job.html

There are many tools that we use for various jobs – gardening tools, building tools, crafting tools etc. Each time we start a job we check to make sure that we have the proper tools so that our project is perfect and we minimize the amount of work that needs to be done to successfully complete the job.

As teachers, we have an arsenal of tools that we use to enhance instruction; physical tools such as computers or books, and personal tools such as unique lessons or presentation ideas for teaching curriculum objectives. There are also new and innovative tools available on the Internet that our students have access to and are using.

This presentation will look at what tools are available, how to determine the best tools, and examples of innovative tools used by other teachers in the state. Please come and take away new ideas for innovative lessons!
