Parent-Teacher Conference Interpreting Service
Region 10 will provide an interpreter to assist in parent-teacher conferences for the parents of Priority for Service (PFS) migrant students. In this way, the teacher will be able to better access parent support of educational programs and the teacher will be able to explain what the parent can do at home to help the student succeed academically.

 

Migrant Education Student Alliance
Migrant Mentoring Service for leadership development geared toward college access. MESA is open to students in grades 8-12 throughout the region. This leadership organization will meet regularly during the school year culminating in a summer leadership camp.

 

Parent Advisory Council Support Services
Guidance and technical support will be provided to assist parents in organizing, planning, and delivering PAC meetings.


Policy Development and Implementation
On-site service designed to meet specific district needs in developing and implementing policies regarding migrant students. Focus will be on providing district structure necessary to deliver services to migrant students based on identified state and local migrant student needs.
