This is an online resource for district contacts new to the Migrant Education Program. The course will include a brief history of the MEP and Title I Part C, the Statewide Service Delivery Plan for the program, documentation requirements, and forms needed throughout the year.
District Effectiveness and Compliance Assistance
Web-based technical assistance is provided to meet specific district needs in developing and implementing policies regarding migrant students. Focus is on providing district/campus structure necessary to deliver services to migrant students based on identified state and local migrant student needs.
Meeting the Needs of Migrant Students
Web-based technical assistance if provided to meet the unique educational and educationally-related needs of specific migratory students in a district. Focus will be on working with the district/school level migrant contact to provide support services that help the migrant child overcome the challenges of mobility, cultural and language barriers, social isolation, and other difficulties associated with the migratory life style in order to succeed in school.
