Consult with a Consultant (K-12) NEW
Want to know what is going on in the world of science education? The consultants at Region 10
will provide regularly scheduled opportunities for science educators to get up to date information
on the latest news from TEA and around the region.

Integrating Process Skills with Content Standards (3-12) NEW
Did you know that 40% of the STAAR exam will include items that assess process skills and
content standards? This course will provide demonstrations of science investigation and
laboratory skills as well as techniques to integrate them with content delivery and assessment.

Interactive Science Notebook Online Learning Community (K-12)
This resource will allow teachers to connect with others using Interactive Science Notebooks
(ISN) in their classroom. Materials from training sessions will be located within the community.

Laboratory Safety Training
This staff development session provides rigorous training in the laws, rules and regulations for
safety procedures in the classroom, laboratory and field investigations. Participants will study the
Texas Safety Standards booklet and participate in activities that encourage the importance of
protective eyewear and safe chemical storage.

STAAR Trek: Science STAAR/EOC Information (5, 8, HS) NEW
This Session is designed for administrators and teachers in grades 3-12 and will provide the most
recent and up to date information on the science STAAR and End of Course exams.
