Hoax Busters. A good source of information regarding Internet hoaxes is the U.S. government's Hoaxbusters site, housed at the Department of Energy. I'm not sure why it's housed there, but it may save you plenty of energy the next time you receive a virus warning, chain letter, too-good-to-be-true offer, or something of the kind.
