I. The Basics: Establishing Effective Mentoring Processes

• TxBESS Activity Profile Training - Three hours of online training followed by a six hour day of face-to-face training for mentors regarding mentor support behaviors as well as the implementation of the TxBESS Activity Profile (TAP).  The online module provides an introduction to the TXBESS Framework and addresses: Mentoring Novice Teachers, Phases of First Year Teachers, Principles of Adult Learning, Building a Partnership, and Categories of Mentor Support.  The TAP process addresses support of early career teachers regarding planning and professionalism as well as in instruction and classroom management.  Participants will practice observation and feedback processes.  This training is best offered prior to the beginning of the school year.  In that way, mentors will be ready to support early career teachers immediately.  Each participant will receive a TxBESS Activity Profile, two TxBESS Frameworks, and session handouts.
  Program Services Fee: $30 per participant for the online module and $1000 for the face-to-face day
  Materials Fee: $10 per participant

• Trainer of Trainers in TxBESS Activity Profile Process - This two and a half day training includes the half day TxBESS Activity Profile Training Presenter Module, two days of district co-training and results in certification of local trainers for the TxBESS Activity Profile.  Prerequisite is that the presenter attended the initial TxBESS Activity Profile Training.
  Program Services Fee: $3000
  Materials Fee: $25 per participant (Limit 10 participants per session)

• TxBESS Mentoring and the Administrator - This three hour seminar focuses on the critically important role of administrators in the support and retention of early career teachers and their mentors. On-going technical and consultative services will be provided.
  Program Services Fee: $500
  Materials Fee: $5 per participant (Limit 40 participants per session)

II. Beyond the Basics: Enhancing Effective Mentoring Processes

• Mentoring the Mentors - This one day six hour or half day three hour workshop focuses on mentoring strategies beyond the first six weeks of school. Topics such as Bridging the Generations and Mentor Dilemmas as well as tips and techniques for thriving while meeting mentoring roles and responsibilities will be addressed. This training is best offered after the first six weeks of school.
  Program Services Fee: $500 for six hours or $300 for three hours
  Materials Fee: $5 per participant (Limit 40 participants per session)

• Professional Growth Conversations - This one day six hour or optional three hour seminar will focus on mentor conversation strategies that enable the early career teacher to reflect on his/her own work, and to use problem solving strategies as well as to identify professional growth behaviors. This training is best offered after the first semester of teaching.
  Program Services Fee: $500 for six hours or $300 for three hours
  Materials Fee: $5 per participant (Limit 40 participants per session)
  
  
• Region 10 Mentor Online Professional Development Modules - Topics include: Clearing the Classroom Management Hurdle; Observing and Gathering Data; Feedback, Reflections, and Professional Conversations; Positive Feedback and Motivation.
  Program Services Fee: $10 per participant for each hour of online professional development

• Mentor Online Support Modules - tailored to district needs and processes.
  Program Services Fee: $10 per participant for each hour of online professional development created

 Consultation/Development Fee: $1000      Hosting Fee: Negotiable

• Technical Assistance - for needs assessment, extended program planning, and long term implementation of TxBESS Program Standards and Processes.
  Consulting Fee: $500 for one full day/two half days
