Division of Instruction - Sub Heading
Region 10's Division of Instruction carries out the overall mission of the Center with a philosophy of service that encourages staff to listen to all districts and respond with appropriate solutions within a quick timeframe. Among the beliefs that underlie services within the Division of Instruction are the following:
- No district is too large, too rich, nor too well staffed to benefit from the ESC. Each benefits from the economy of cooperative endeavors.
- Teachers feel better about professional development delivered close to where they live and/or work.
- Distance learning for both students and teachers creates efficiency when appropriate for topic.
- Districts learn from a focus that encourages districts to work with each other and the service center.
- Many professional development sessions are better offered by a master trainer from outside the district in a risk-free environment where admitting lack of knowledge is acceptable.
