Paraprofessionals

 

Paraprofessionals play a significant role in the education of our students in public school. Region 10 provides training and technical assistance to district/charter schools in the areas of:

 

  • Meeting the Highly Qualified requirements of NCLB

Effective Instructional Strategies

Paraprofessionals are welcome to attend any workshop offered at Region 10. Within the special populations division at Region 10, we typically offer workshops in inclusion support and behavior management. The preschool division also offers workshop in early childhood paraprofessinal training.

 

Paraprofessional Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group instruction to students
  • Provide instructional support to students in a library, lab or media center
  • Assist the teacher in classroom management
  • Assist in school-wide management
