Organized in 1975 as a coalition of parent groups representing children with a variety of disabilities, the Federation operates a Parent Center in Massachusetts which offers a variety of services to parents, parent groups, and others who are concerned with children with special needs.

It has been established that perceptual-motor activities are an important part of the experiences which prepare ALL children for school. Certain low-level foundational or readiness skills involving perceptual-motor learning prepare ALL children for school tasks (e.g., reading, writing, cognition, etc.). This site includes examples of readily available toys which serve to develop your child’s readiness skills.
