Special Education

The Region 10 Special Populations Department is dedicated to improving results for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities ages birth through 21 by providing leadership, technical assistance, and professional development to local districts and charters, teachers, administrators, parents of students with disabilities, and adult students with disabilities.  People often refer to education-related topics by different terms. Recognizing this, we've listed key special education terms below, all with links to the appropriate information on our site and other valuable resources.
