Substitute Teacher Training

Substitute Teacher Training is a six-hour interactive workshop that provides training in instructional techniques, classroom and behavior management strategies and focuses on the skills needed for a substitute teacher to succeed in the classroom. Participants will learn how to confidently instruct and address situations they may face in the classroom. Although the training does not guarantee a substitute position with any school district, it is an affordable way for participants to gain or improve their substitute teaching skills.

This workshop is open to:

  • Anyone interested in becoming a substitute teacher
  • Current substitute teachers
  • Substitute teachers returning to the field after an absence

The workshop cost is $80 per person including the Substitute Teacher Handbook and a companion workbook.
