Route to Clinical Teaching
This option is an accelerated opportunity for qualified candidates to become certified. The Clinical Teaching Experience consists of an unpaid fifteen-week practicum in the specific certification area sought. A cooperating/mentor teacher, campus administrator, and Region 10 TPC staff member provide assistance and support.
An additional application and screening interview process is required before placements are considered.

There may be limited placements available for the 2012-2013 school year, especially in the elementary schools. The high needs areas continue to be Mathematics 8-12, Science 8-12, LOTE - Spanish EC-12, and Bilingual Generalist EC-6.
Your application should be submitted to Region 10 TPC by March 1, 2012.

Complete a writing sample - completed at interview
Complete a face-to-face interview
Clinical Teaching Experience
Attend a CTE Orientation
Demonstrate effective teaching practices
Complete and submit all required documentation
Complete online course, CTE: Professional Practices
Attend two Saturday seminars
Complete requirements of Individual Certification Plan
