The Region 10 Professional Educator Preparation (PrEP) Program shares the mission of the Council for Exceptional Children from the Standards for Educational Diagnosticians “to promote the most appropriate education of children and youth through appraisal, diagnosis, educational intervention, implementation and continuous evaluation of a prescribed program” for student success and achievement. The PrEP Program for Educational Diagnosticians was developed in collaboration with other educator preparation programs, local school districts, and university faculty. Training is tailored to the level of knowledge and skills demonstrated by each candidate based on the development of his/her Individual Certification Plan. Candidates who participate in the Region 10 PrEP Program are provided every opportunity to become among the most effective educational diagnosticians in the state because of the comprehensive nature of the program of study. Participation in the PrEP Program application process is through nomination by the Special Education Directors of Region 10. For additional information, please call Sammye Jo Miller at 972-348-1612.
