Gordon D. Taylor, Ed. D.
Dr. Taylor has proudly served as a Texas public educator for 29 years. He began his career as a high school History and Government teacher and a coach of multiple sports. Before taking on the superintendency of Valley View ISD in August 2003, Taylor served at the high school and junior levels as both a principal and assistant principal.
He now serves more than 800,000 public school students in north Texas as Executive Director of Region 10 Education Service Center in Richardson, Texas. In that capacity he manages the provision of education support services to 81 districts and more than 40 charter schools.
Taylor earned his Doctorate in Education Administration and Public Administration from the University of North Texas. His dissertation researched the means by which Texas school districts attempt to prevent fraud and embezzlement.
Dr. Taylor is happily married to a retired school librarian and is the proud father of two sons, a college freshman and a college junior. He is an active member of his church and volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America.
