Deloitte’s Courageous Principals program is a leadership development program focused on honing relationship-building, communication, change management, and influencing skills of school leaders. Through this carefully constructed 2.5 day program, school leaders will refine the skills necessary to foster positive interactions and manage change – with the goal of enhancing school leader effectiveness and, ultimately, student achievement.
"Immediately as people come through the doors at Deloitte University, they get an experience unlike any other professional development opportunity they’ve had. They’re being welcomed and trained as professionals–as leaders who carry the torch for their school. They’re here to improve their craft so they can have a bigger impact on others."
– Lizette Ridgeway, Director of School Improvement at Texas Education Agency
The curriculum focuses on enhancing critical communication, engagement, and relationship building skills of school leaders. Participants leave the training with tools to execute action plans built during the program, skills and resources needed to enable sustainable change, and the COURAGE to be BOLD leaders.
There is a $595 participant fee for the Courageous Principals program.
The Texas Education Agency will pay the participant fee on behalf of any individuals who lead schools identified as Targeted, Additional Targeted and Comprehensive Support Schools for the 2019-2020 school year.
All other participants will be invoiced directly for the fee by Region 10 Education Service Center.
