The Region 10 Bilingual/ESL Cooperative serves member districts by providing Bilingual/ESL support and staff development. In carrying out activities with Title III, Part A funds, the LEA (district) must use scientifically based research approaches and methodologies to teach limited English proficient children and immigrant children and youth (ESSA).
On-site services are provided to Bilingual/ESL cooperative members at their request. In addition, professional development opportunities are offered at the Region 10 Education Service Center and other locations throughout the Region 10 area. Cooperative members are encouraged to take advantage of current cluster offerings held near their area.
District participation in the Region 10 Bilingual/ESL Cooperative requires an annual membership.
Compliance and state required activities or trainings are open to all districts whether or not they are enrolled in the Region 10 Bilingual/ESL Cooperative.
