Kid-netic Games logoMission Statement

To provide an athletic opportunity that brings students with physical disabilities together, their families, and community resources which ultimately encourages and challenges students to put themselves in motion; showcasing their abilities in a variety of sporting venues in an effort to create healthier and more active lifestyles.

History of Past Games

The Kid-netic Games was created in 2010 by Region 10 Education Service Center's Adapted PE team in collaboration with many others on the inaugural planning committee. The goal was to provide school-aged students with physical disabilities an opportunity to compete against others with similar abilities and provide networking opportunities for families.

From 2010-2019 the Games were hosted annually by St. Mark's School of Texas.  Severe tornado damage to the St. Mark's Campus and the lengthy rebuilding process has forced the Kid-netic Games committee to find alternative host facilities. The Covid-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 games.

In May 2021,  a modified Kid-netic Games was held at Lake Grapevine's Meadowmere Park in combination with a RISE Adaptive Sports event. This gave our athletes the opportunity to try out several water sports.  In 2022, the Kid-netic Games was part of a combined event called the ParaSports Jam at Coppell High School in Coppell, Tx.  In 2023, the Kidnetic Games committee is excited to return to the original Kid-netic Games format that will be hosted by Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Tx.
