Continuing Education

• Each board member shall receive additional continuing education on an annual basis in fulfillment of assessed needs and based on the framework for governance leadership.

• In a board member's first year of service, he or she shall receive at least ten hours of continuing education in fulfillment of assessed needs.

• Following a board member's first year of service, he or she shall receive at least five hours of continuing education annually in fulfillment of assessed needs.

Framework for School Board Development - Saturday Training

This school board training will consist of different sessions presented by Region 10 staff and guest presenters.  Trustees may earn a maximum of six hours of training credit or a minimum of one hour based on the length of time in attendance.  This is an excellent opportunity for board members to network while receiving their required credit and meet their training requirements prior to May board elections. Lunch will be provided.
