2022-2023 COVID-19 Guidance for Schools
**Waiting on updated guidance from TEA for the 23-24 school year
Has EXPIRED (July 31, 2023)
The Reopening Schools Grant ended July 31, 2023. This grant included the K-12 COVID-19 Testing Program and the School Health Support Grant. Neither program/grant will continue beyond that date.
If school systems have leftover COVID tests that have not expired before July 31 they are free to use those tests until they expire but they will have no obligation for reporting to TEA/DSHS. School systems can choose to renew their CLIA if they see fit, but this is not a requirement nor expectation of TEA/DSHS.
