Region 10 is proud to host our first-ever Video Storytellers Contest & Conference. Our goal is to support talented young artists working in the visual medium – young people whose creativity we’re anxious to highlight as we also work to further their experience and education.
Time Limits and Categories
|Narrative (fiction)||Under 7 minutes including credits|
|Documentary (non-fiction)||Under 7 minutes including credits|
|Music Video||Under 5 minutes including credits|
|Public Service Announcement (PSA)||30 or 60 seconds *not* including credits|
Note: Entries may be live action or animated (digital/computer-generated, claymation, hand drawn, or stop motion)
Contest entrants must be 9th through 12th Grade students currently enrolled at a school within the Region 10 service area.
Entries may be submitted by an individual student or group thereof.
All members of the production team must be enrolled full time at the participating school during the ‘18-’19 school year.
There is no minimum or a maximum number of contestants.
Actors are not contestants if that is their only role in the project.
Adult(s) involved in each contest entry may only serve as sponsors or on-screen talent.
Submissions must be original works created during the ‘18-’19 school year.
The administration of the producing school shall assure that the production does not offend the moral standards of the community. The “Community Standards and Copyright Compliance Form” included with the entry form states that entrants must certify all submissions have been reviewed and approved for presentation by a recognized faculty member or member of the submitter’s school administration.
Submissions will be accepted beginning Friday, March 1, 2019
No copyrighted material may be featured in the project. Music should either be original creations, non-copyrighted, or royalty-free.
Submission deadline: 5 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2019
