Section Description

Each child is expected to be a full participant within the general education classroom. Due to the access barriers caused by hearing loss, students who are deaf and hard of hearing require specific skill building and appropriate accommodations in order for them to be able to progress at the same rate as their class peers. This session will review considerations for student learning and possible accommodations in order to enable students with hearing loss to become full participants in the classroom.
