R10 Heartbeat Heroes

Overview

Did you know that only 1 in 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest out of the hospital survive?

Region 10 is teaming up with the American Heart Association to save lives by getting as many people as possible trained in hands-only CPR. It only takes 60 seconds to learn how to respond when someone is experiencing cardiac arrest. Join this lifesaving campaign and become a Heartbeat Hero!

Did you also know?

About 70% of cardiac arrests that occur outside a hospital happen at home or place of work.

Women are less likely to receive CPR from a bystander than men, and men have 23% higher odds of surviving cardiac arrest than women.

Hands-only CPR has the potential to double or triple a person's chance of survival.

Step 1. Watch the video. Get your staff trained in hands-only CPR by showing them this 60-sec video. QR code for video. Step 2. Train Your District.
