Welcome to the online module which outlines the Title I, Part A Comparability of Services requirements for LEAs and charter schools.

Title I, Part A grant

It is important to note that the Title I, Part A grant was enacted to ensure all children:

1. have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education, and
2. reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

Primary Goal of the Title I grant program

The goal of the program is to provide extra resources that help high-poverty schools:

• meet the greater challenges of educating disadvantaged students, and
• help disadvantaged students reach the same high standards expected of all students.
