On Saturday, February 21, 2026, families, educators, and community partners gathered at the Duncanville ISD Teaching and Learning Center for the Connecting the Dots Expo, a collaborative event dedicated to supporting children with disabilities and the communities that champion them.
Free and open to all, the expo is hosted in partnership with sponsoring districts across Region 10 ESC's eight-county area. More than 25 agencies filled the space with resources, creating a welcoming environment for families navigating educational, medical, and community services.
“At its core, the Connecting the Dots Expo exists to bridge the gap between families and the support they need,” said Amy Reeves, Transition Consultant at Region 10 ESC.
Attendees explored vendor booths covering insurance, medical and mental health services, educational support, employment training, post-secondary planning, recreational opportunities, legal guidance, and family networks. Structured breakout sessions offered a deeper dive into navigating services and planning for the future.
The expo's impact extends well beyond any single event. Connecting families with the right people and information helps build a foundation for long-term success.
The next expo is scheduled for April 18 in Frisco ISD at the Career Technical Education Center. For more information, click here.
