We LOVE getting to see our early childhood educators creatively engaged in learning, and there was more than plenty to go around during today's Spicing-up Your Seven SUPER Centers with Thematic Learning training! These teachers explored classroom guidelines with hands-on activities and left with plenty of new strategies!! ✂️📚✏️





What an amazing day today! Our parents and teachers from different Districts got to experience walking on the red carpet and enjoyed a full-filling and cultural experience at our Title lll Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Fair. Thank you all for making today memorable! 👏




Check out these tech wizards at work! We were so excited to once again host students with Visual Impairments from across the region for this year's Technology Olympics! Designed to showcase the abilities of students with VI in using assistive technology, it was a day full of fun, games, and lots of medals! Shout out to our amazing Region 10 keynotes! 📣 Dr. Holly Bishop, who explained the importance of creating innovative learning spaces at Carrollton- Farmers Branch Innovate Conference, and Christine Collins, who amazed Garland High School with a hands-on experience in brain development and manipulative tools for PreK teachers and Paraprofessionals working with young learners. While we can't mend a broken heart, we do know how to mend a broken book! Today, librarians from across Region 10 did just that, with the help of the one and only Book Doctor! They spent the day learning about different methods for extending the life of their library books so that even more students could enjoy them! ❤️🩹📚

Today's breakout sessions covered a wide range of HR-related topics that provided excellent ideas and resources for these professionals to use in their districts! Collaboration is the best way to start the week! We were excited to host regional counselors and educators for today's focus group as they provided excellent insights and feedback for updates on the 6th edition of the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling. 👏👏




Last night was a culmination of hours of hard work and dedication for our newly-pinned National Board Certified Teachers during our NBCT Pinning Ceremony! The most respected professional certification available in K-12 education, we loved getting to roll out the red carpet and celebrate this significant achievement with them, their families, and their school districts! Congratulations to all these fantastic educators!!! 👏👏👏

It was all 😁s and collaboration yesterday during our Early Career Vision Professional Cohort Training! One of the cohort members shared information about assessment tools for the others in the group, and we helped out by providing tools to all of the attendees!

We 🩵 seeing collaboration in action! Last week, Region 10 Adapted PE Specialist Thomas Swinden helped facilitate a learning experience for educators at Lacy Elementary! These educators from Princeton ISD observed an Adapted PE class at Hyde Park Elementary in Denison ISD to get ideas for how they wanted to structure their program in the future.

WHAT A DAY! We had such a great day today celebrating the white cane by hosting students with Visual Impairments from across Region 10 during today's White Cane Day Celebration! They decorated their canes, created signs, and took a march from our Abrams building to our Spring Valley building. While on their march, they were cheered on by our fantastic staff members who wore white for the occasion!
Before the parade, they got to engage in some fun recreation and leisure activities, such as learning about Goal Ball, making hand puppets, learning about self-care, and cooking up some delicious brownies in a cup!

We 🫶 Region 10 Principals! It was a day full of 😁s at the Region 10 Innovate Principal Conference! In addition to breakout sessions led by their peers, attendees were treated to inspiring keynotes from 2022 Texas Principal of the Year Mario I. Acosta, EdD, and from author and former Principal Jimmy Casas. From beginning to end it was a fulfilling day of learning, networking, and collaborating!
