
Our favorite days are when Region 10 is full of people who are having a great day learning, networking and getting ready for the next School Year! ☀️





What a day!! We loved getting to host educators for our first-ever STEM-GT Institute! Combining innovation and education, GT and STEM teachers participated in this unique experience with information and hands-on experiences to enhance their classrooms. Our incredible keynote speaker, Steven Smith, from NASA shared his experiences and insights on space exploration. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this Thursday an incredible one!






Solution Tree and Region 10 leveled up our Tuesday at the Acceleration For All event! This 2-day session was full of learning and sharing practical strategies that will help to close achievement gaps and help students grow their potential to grade-level proficiency and beyond! 👏






We had an awesome day learning about several tools and strategies to empower and enhance the learning experiences of students with Visual Impairments at the Tech Bonanza! Experts showcased their latest Assistive Technology and shared great information with Visual Impairment teachers and Orientation and Mobility (O&M) specialists. It was a fantastic, boot-stomping good time! 👏





Yesterday, Region 10 came together to celebrate the invaluable contributions of our school nurses, who play an important role within our schools!! The event was filled with laughter and appreciation as we enjoyed a comical presentation by our special guest and comedian, Don McMillan. Thank you School Nurses for your hard work and dedication! 👏







What a way to spend a Saturday! It was a day full of fun, smiles, and plenty of medals during today’s Kidnetic Games! Held in Celina ISD, athletes with physical disabilities competed in a variety of adapted sports, including track & field, boccia ball, skateboarding, basketball, javelin, and more! Thank you to everyone who made today such an enriching experience! 👏👏




Region 10 was full of adorable fun, energetic play, and family bonding during today’s Babies Day Out! Families of infants with visual impairments visited the service center to learn more about services and activities for their infants. Meanwhile, their babies had plenty of fun rotating through all sorts of activities such as art and reading! It was a terrific way to spend a Thursday! 🥰








We love getting to learn outdoors! Yesterday, Region 10's Holly Bishop and science teachers spent the day outdoors at Oak Point Nature Preserve, where they explored different ways to incorporate the outdoors into their lessons! 🌳





Today was full of important conversations and learning, as school leaders learned how to make their schools safer during the annual Safety 1st Conference. With a schedule full of expert speakers, there were a wide-range of topics for attendees to learn about! Topics during the day ranged from mental health intervention, legal insights, building/renovating facilities to be safe, crisis communications, and programs. Thank you to everyone who participated in helping to create safe learning environments for our students 👏👏






What fun! Today Region 10 Early Childhood Special Educators took a trip with consultant Kim Boyd and Cindy Lee to visit classrooms, brainstorm ideas, and learn together in Allen and Mesquite today!





Today our Assistant Principals had a great time collaborating and learning from the one and only Joy Kelly! They heard about her approach to recruiting and hiring while enjoying fun and reflective activities throughout the day, including walking around the Abrams Building while they reflected on their core values. Thank you to everyone who made this day terrific!! 👏👏






We love when our consultants can bring their knowledge to the national stage! Last week, Region 10 Master Consultant Cindy Lee and Consultant Alexa Poynor shared their knowledge about parent education and mental health for early learners at the National Special Education Conference in San Antonio! Thank you to the NSEC for hosting such wonderful learning opportunities! 👏




Over the past few weeks, our Region 10 Pre-K and Early Childhood teams have been out on the Now4Forever Prize Patrol delivering the exciting news to educators who were selected to be presenters at this year's Now4Forever conference!! 🎉 Congrats to this year's presenters!

We LOVE getting to see our early childhood educators creatively engaged in learning, and there was more than plenty to go around during today's Spicing-up Your Seven SUPER Centers with Thematic Learning training! These teachers explored classroom guidelines with hands-on activities and left with plenty of new strategies!! ✂️📚✏️






What an amazing day today! Our parents and teachers from different Districts got to experience walking on the red carpet and enjoyed a full-filling and cultural experience at our Title lll Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Fair. Thank you all for making today memorable! 👏





Check out these tech wizards at work! We were so excited to once again host students with Visual Impairments from across the region for this year's Technology Olympics! Designed to showcase the abilities of students with VI in using assistive technology, it was a day full of fun, games, and lots of medals! Thank you to everyone who made this such a wonderful experience for these students!! 😁





Shout out to our amazing Region 10 keynotes! 📣 Dr. Holly Bishop, who explained the importance of creating innovative learning spaces at Carrollton- Farmers Branch Innovate Conference, and Christine Collins, who amazed Garland High School with a hands-on experience in brain development and manipulative tools for PreK teachers and Paraprofessionals working with young learners. While we can't mend a broken heart, we do know how to mend a broken book! Today, librarians from across Region 10 did just that, with the help of the one and only Book Doctor! They spent the day learning about different methods for extending the life of their library books so that even more students could enjoy them! ❤️🩹📚
